Acciaroli

The pearl of Cilento
Acciaroli is one of the most famous and fashionable places in Cilento born as a fishing village; in modern times it has gathered around the beautiful little port close to its Norman Tower, built by Frederick II of Swabia. Its waters are crystal clear and the beaches pristine, the Torre Caleo beach stands out among all, accessible by a small path. One thing that few people know is that Ernest Hemingway stayed in this village in love with its landscapes and its waters, during his stay he met an old fisherman who inspired his novel "the old man and the sea".
