The Festa nel Bosco is a traditional festival held annually from 6 to 13 August, in the evocative setting of the Perito chestnut grove.
Organized by the Pro Loco of the village, it is articulated along small paths created specifically for the occasion, where you will meet clearings with long wooden tables, and you will be welcomed by girls of the village wearing traditional clothes, in an atmosphere of good taste and conviviality.
The event features the typical dishes of Cilento gastronomy, based on the fine km 0 products, increasingly rarely found on our tables. You will be able to taste ancient flavors such as the "Narrow soup", composed of sautéed vegetables with potatoes; the "Ciaula", or rather the classic ciambotta; the "Muligname 'mbuttunate" (stuffed aubergines); the "Cavatielli" handmade by the ladies of the village, and served with mutton ragout or boscaiola sauce or simple sauce; the "Fico del Cilento"; delicious typical local sweets; and so on. To accompany the dishes, you can choose to sip an excellent local red wine or one of the many wines on offer, produced by the best Cilento wineries; as an alternative to wine, you can opt for a local craft beer.
